Union Hills Golf & Country Club
About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

A Typical
Residential course...residential layout. A filler course for sure. If asked... I would play there again but not on my own decision.
Liked the course layout
My wife and I are leisure players. We enjoy courses that are not quirky and a little challenging. We also enjoy it more when courses are in good condition. This course was fun. My wife also like it when it's affordable.
Not worth of the cost
Each hole was a duplicate of the prior. Each hole was a straight drive with little diversity.
Nothing special for the price
Course was pleasant but overly priced. Each hole was about the exact same as the hole before.
Tough conditions
Staff is great, course layout enjoyable as it forces shot shaping with several left-to-right or right-to-left looks off tees as well as second shots. Fairways are pretty good but there is no rough, or grass, just packed dirt. Several fairway bunkers were becoming overgrown with large weeds. Just a little TLC could really help this gem of a course.
Need rangers on weekends
Three groups waiting at each tee box is inexcusable. Need a ranger to push the pace. This is a 5 hour round consistently on weekends.
Close conditions
Greens in good shape. Fairways and rough fair. Pace of play way too slow.
Very good outimg. The course was in good shape and the pace of play was good.
Another fun, enjoyable Sun City Course
Wide fairways, no rough, large and smooth winter greens that role true. What's not to like? Some areas off the fairway were in rough shape, dirt, some mud. Not the best bunkers but certainly playable. Pace of play was fine. We were the 2nd group following a women's event but finished in about 4hrs. Had a great time, made a couple birdies. With the lack of rough the course is probably over-sloped a bit at 116. I'd say it's closer to 110 this time of year. When the bermuda comes back that probably changes things.
Price Gauge
This course is absolutely smoking crack to think they can charge over $60 for a tee time, and then proceed to charge another 7% water fee, while there’s dead patches everywhere and absolutely no care in the world for pace of play. Place went down the gutter.
Ok for Neighborhood Coursea
Pretty good layout for a flat ground, between the houses, course. Green and fairways in OK condition. We waited on most holes. The were several wedding stag romps playing ahead that might have been a bit slow.
Union hills
Front nine played real well but the back nine really slowed. Person behind the counter seemed like he didnt really want to be there. When we turned the cart in the person there was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful.
decent course
Fairways and greens were very good
everything else was brown
pretty wide open
amenities were dated
