About
Southern Ridge Golf Club, formerly known as Bougainvillea Golf Club, offers some of the most stunning views anywhere in the valley. The South and Estrella Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop to the golf course. Southern Ridge is known for more than its views though, it has a unique layout that combines six par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s. The championship course plays to 6,751 yards. It offers a good amount of length for long hitters but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners thanks to generous fairways and large, undulating greens. Although the fairways are wide, don't be lulled into a sense of security. They are flanked with more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are enough challenges for an interesting round but it's not an overly difficult golf course.

Oversees time
Very nice check-in person. Golf shop was closed. Not sure why. Course played well.
Great value
This is a good course for the pricing. Challenging holes and very friendly staff. I wush there was a cart person who came around with drinks. Our tee time was 7:22 and we never saw anyone during our entire round. Also, they may want to have a cook and cashier in the lounge instead of one who does both. Had to wait 10 minutes at the turn to get water and a soda.
Great Golf
Fairways were in very good condition and greens were slow but ran true
Good course for the money. Fairly simple in its layout. Young man in pro shop was very helpful. They need a ranger on this course as 3 flags on the back nine were vandalized. Could use a ball washer or two on the course

The course was in good shape
The overseed came in well and the bunker were also in good condition. The price was right and I'm planning on playing there next week also
Overseeded !
Course was overseeded 10 days before. The back 9 was not open so we played the front twice. Course is very easy and flat. Greens were not cut recently but were still very good. This course is probably not bad in normal conditions. I would like to play it again after the winter grass grows in.
Not worth the drive.
Course layout very predictable ,boring not challenging at all.Grounds crew were scalping greens as we were trying to play, leaving big piles of grass to try & putt thru.Entrance road blocked by paving crew- with no notice from clubhouse.Worst experience in Az ever. Wouldn't play here again if it was free!!!
excellent course
everything was very good to excellent. real sand in the traps that I hit into. work crew was removing the dead foliage from the rough. greens were excellent. our only complaint is there are not enough ball washers.
Hot Golf in the Summer Time
Course conditions were better than average. Pace of play good. Staff exceptionally helpful.
Had a good time playing this course. First time playing here. I will be back to play again.
Good course & getting better
This course is a great value for the money. Staff is friendly. Course is wide open, but some water hazards and lots of bunkers.

I play this course regularly and it seems to be getting better every time.
Staff very friendly and efficient as usual. Course is well kept. overall condition for this time of year is good.
Great bang for buck
Tees, greens & fairways in great condition.
Fun layout, good variety of holes. No frills, but everything needed is there.

Despite the fact that it was so cheap, it wasn't just worth playing.

Good course, great staff
This is a can't lose course. Moderately priced and with enough challenges for the accomplished golfer. Interesting layout with 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s.
