Power Ranch Golf Club
About
With its neighbors being the Santan Range and Superstition Mountain, it is no wonder Power Ranch Golf Club (formerly known as Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch) is known for its spectacular views. Although this championship golf course is near a residential area, the course architect, Dick Bailey, insists the homes were routed to accommodate the golf course and not vice versa. The holes amble through the cleansed desert of the Queen Creek wash, which features plenty of interesting elevation changes. Strategically placed mounding and bunkers are situated throughout the golf course. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Four sets of tee boxes are available to test experienced golfers and allow beginners to enjoy Power Ranch Golf Club as well.

How come I always have to hit my ball here? Photo submitted by cofgrindr8 on 12/10/2013
Great course had a great time. I was a single scheduled for 556, there was another single scheduled for 546 so they decided to pair us together which was fine. But instead of moving me up to the earlier time, they moved him back to my later time and put a (VERY SLOW) 4some in front of us. They knew in advance how slow they were as the starter identified them as being members. They finally let us play through after the 4th hole and everything was fine from there.
Nice golf course
Went on a rainy afternoon as a single player. I would have been stuck behind a foursome and might not have finished the round, but the guy at the clubhouse let me play the back nine first, which was wide open. The new greens were in nice shape and played fast even in the rain.
Nice Course
Fairways and greens are in nice shape. Will always play again here.
First time at the Ranch
Nice course, but very slow play as it seems like they try to put through as many golfers as they can. And people can't even finish their round because it takes so long.
1st post renovation
Course renovation is subtle but noticeable. New greens are very firm.
Over booked and bad greens.
They over book this course, there were 3 groups on every hole. They also haven’t figured out their greens. Greens don’t hold approach shots, and you can’t hit any chips with spin, the greens just aren’t receptive. It’s a bummer because this use to be a good course.
Great course! The only thing I disliked was hitting from mats on the driving range.
Nice Place
I play this course at least once per yr. It’s a nice place to play coming from the Midwest when your game is rusty. They’re making some significant improvements to the course and the people are friendly. It’s a decent value at $80-100.
Everything in great shape except the bunkers
Fairways & greens are in pristine condition, very enjoyable. However, the traps needs major work. Very heavy, not sure why? Other than the bunkers, would have given a 5 star rating.
Nice wide course through the houses
Enjoyed the round. Carts were path only
so that slowed my Saturday morning round.
Will definitely return during the week.
Great Course
Course was in fantastic condition. Just reopened after being closed for renovations. Pace of play was terrible, but this was due to the cart path only which is due to the over seeding which was expected. Will play again in the future!
Here is the link that describes our $2.3M Green and Bunker Renovation project. It will detail why the new silica sand feels heavy.

Make sure to use the bounce on your sand wedge, take less sand and shallow out your angle of attack. All of those things will help you keep the club skip across the top of the sand and not dig.
