The Talking Stick Golf Club, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, offers two uniquely different courses that each offer many options according to your playing skill. The Piipaash course (previously known as South at Talking Stick Golf Club), with its tree-lined fairways and raised greens defended at the sides offers a more straightforward style of play than the O'odham Course (formerly known as North at Talking Stick Golf Club).

A round of golf on the Piipaash Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 405 yards from the Black tees. Three long par-5 holes ensures that power golfers will get their kicks, with the fifth hole coming in at 516 yards, the 1fourth measuring 541 and the 16th playing to 548. The round of golf concludes on a relatively shorter par 4 that measures 323 yards.

After a round of golf on the North Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club, head back to the Wildhorse Grille for drinks and a bite to eat.

Overpriced

This is a fine, average course. Conditionss were good, but there is nothing special. Even in the Phoenix winter market, I don’t think it’s worth $200.

The greens are interesting, with any long putt likely to break more than 1 direction. A few holes have hidden hazards, so pay attention to the GPS.

Starter was friendly, and kept things on time. We finished in 4 hrs and 15 minutes, which is their suggested pace. I thought that was much too long, as we waited on nearly every shot.

Overall, like I said a fine average course. I would go back for $100 (in the winter) but not for $200.

Nice day playing this course

We enjoyed the day, course in great shape, pace of play wasn’t too bad. The gps on our cart never worked and no one was very concerned about correcting this. This didn’t detract us from having a nice round. Will play again

Nice course

First time playing Talking Stick and thought all the amenities were excellent from the practice tees to the half way house. Too bad there was construction on the clubhouse.

Very disappointed in staff policy about being a single and riding in a cart alone, after paying $180 plus club rental $80 being told have to pair with another player or pay 25-30 cart fee is ludicrous, rates in AZ and Vegas are crazy, at least be more accommodating some what.

Well kept, friendly

Everyone on the staff was really nice. Free golf range and golf tees to warm up. The course was very well. Kept pro shop a little pricey but which ones aren’t? Overall great experience not only would I go again but I have already recommended somebody.

Great course and staff

Beautiful day and thrown in a group: 2 locals and 1 other out of state visitor. They had all played the course & offered some local knowledge. Great guys and the course was well-kept. Greens rolled well and the GPS on carts very true. Wish I had walked but cart included.

Poor Communication

Wouldn’t have expected a premium facility to not communicate it was a transition mess. Poor experience for Holiday Tradition because of no communication..

Great overall experience

My brother and law and I had an amazing time playing our first round of desert golf. Course was in awesome shape given December. Location close to the casino made for a great day.

Wide fairways and rough everywhere

You're always hitting from grass here which is great after playing a dozen courses in the valley with tight fairways and desert runoffs. There's rough everywhere in case you miss the wide fairways.

This was my preferred side of the 2 tracks since there's doglegs and water comes into play on a few holes. If you enjoy hitting driver off the tee and don't have the best control with the driver, play here. 11 was a fun hole - it's a dogleg left with water running along the entire left side. 18 was a fun approach to a tight green with bunkers on the left and water on the right. There are deep bunkers on the sides of the greens of a few par 3's.

Sandwich house at the turn was great, really diverse menu instead of just hot dogs, but I didn't see any signs up on hole 8 or 9 to call in orders, might have been more of an after-round thing. The range before the round was grass not turf.

Staff everywhere was friendly and helpful. My group had slow golfers and we wound up 2 holes behind the group ahead of us at the turn, I informed the ranger of the situation at the turn and asked if we could split off into a twosome which he allowed. We were able to complete the back 9 in under 90 minutes as a result. Thank you.
