Painted Mountain Golf Club
About
The Painted Mountain Golf Club is a challenging desert-style course with a variety of different tees to accommodate every age group and skill level. The course offers a lengthier challenge from the first hole, a par-5 dogleg right, to the last, which requires an approach shot over water in order to reach the green. The Painted Mountain Golf Club, in addition to the course, is also home to the John Jacob's Golf School.

green conditions Photo submitted by u000003377470 on 10/21/2019
Slow slow slow
Was a miserable 9 holes of waiting
We quit after 9
Terrible course conditions
Deep rough bad greens no grass on fairways terrible course condition overall won’t go back
Slow round on mediocre course
The greens were in great condition, but the fairways were poor and the rough was mostly rock. Not as in nicely landscaped desert, just sparse bits of grass fading to dirt. Not very inspiring or even memorable. And the slow pace of play didn’t add to our enjoyment.
Nice course
Fairways are hard and rough along the edges too long. Trouble finding ball and hitting out.
WAY OVERPRICED
Grew up playing this course a lot. Cart guys are great and staff, but the pace of play is absolutely ridiculous for the price they’re asking for a round. The max for this course with the conditions and pace of play should be no more than $55. Evening tee times no more than $25. Don’t play here. View Point down the street is a better value for the course. Better pace and course is nicer.
My 1st hole in one!
The course was in pretty good shape and we did not have any problems once we got by hole 2 with being backed up! Some people just have no bias for leaving negative comments. By the way this was a special day as I aced hole 10 for my 1st ace. Been playing 23 years and wow ! That felt amazing. Give this place a shot and also they opening a new Pizza place this week.
Super slow
Course was bare in a lot of spots. Painfully slow. 5.5 hours
Reseed Inconsistent
Course was in general decent condition. There was some inconsistency and the receded grass. The, gravel in the rough was irritating. Sometimes 10 yards from the fairway you would be in gravel. There were also areas that were completely dead where you would expect grass to be..
Groups of 8 and 7 ?
We were surprised to see a group of 8 playing in front of us. The ranger told us there were groups of 6 and 7 in front of them. Needless to say we were waiting a lot. Who made the decision to allow these large groups? I hope it doesn't happen again as I like playing this course.
Awesome
Had a great afternoon. The course was in nice shape
From a former PGA Professional
Here's how to make sure your guests have a sub par experience (no pun intended);
Send groups out every seven minutes.
Provide no water for players along the way.
Allow groups to play in five and six ball groups.
Allow golfers under 10 years old to be in those groups and drive golf carts!
Don't put yardage markers of any kind on the course.
Require cart-path only with no active over seed in place.
Sorry guys, but this is not how you run an operation if you want to have happy customers.
