Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

You Have To Play This Course!
I made the mistake of making a birdie on the first hole of this course long on my bucket list. What followed was a remarkable thrill ride set against remarkable views of Camelback Mountain and the adjacent landscape. The greens were a handful, but rolled like the best courses in the area. Challenging lengths and pristine bunkers provided a true test. I waited over five years to play this course during Winter trips to the Valley. My return will be much sooner! Great value. Friendly staff. Terrific amenities.
Very unique course
Positives: tremendous views and layout, greens/fairways in excellent condition, staff was wonderful, craziest greens I’ve ever seen
Cons: pace of play was slow early on, tee boxes were not in good shape, no food after 3pm
Great Conditions, very slow play
Course was in good shape, just so expensive for a par 54 course. Waited a while on every hole. 3:20 to play a short course. Friendly staff. Beautiful grass.
Thank you for joining us as we strive for a friendly experience and nice course conditions. On a busy day, our average pace is between 3 hours and 3:20. Overall it's best to play in a 4some, as 2somes play faster and may seem slower.
Sweet par 3
I was in town for a quick visit and was able to sneak in a round. What a pleasant treat! Staff was very friendly and helpful as this was my first time here. Course is in great condition and the surrounding views are beautiful! A very relaxing round. Looking forward to my next visit!
Par 3 Challenge
You better know your clubs when playing here. I brought a friend who is low a handicap player and by the 7th hole the golfer excuses started LOL!!! Awesome course and try out your short game!
Bring your putter A game - wow - challenging.
So much fun for a 90 minute round of golf
Practice iron play here!
Now that I have played this par 3 course I will come play here instead of going to driving range!
Nice layout!
Long and short par 3 yardage!
Highly recommend!!!
One of those over hyped courses.
Not worth the money. Good if the only purpose is to practice the short game. Cart girl interrupted one shot so I would move my cart. The course was empty, not sure of her rush.
Summer round
Nice par 3 course that’s we’ll kept all year round, expected a few rough spots with the hot weather but overall in really good shape, greens weren’t too fast and prob slight wet as we tee off at 7am.
Finished up around 10 and it was hot and sweaty by then. Prices a lot lower in summer and great to get out early mornings on this course
We're not your normal Par 3 course. The Short Course is a high end golf resort experience at the base of Camelback Mountain. We just happen to have all Par 3's. Given the golf pricing of area golf resorts, we believe our fees are fair. We may not be for everyone, but thank you for giving us a try.
