Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

First time with wife
Was concerned with hills and valleys but cart’s handled them well enough to allow my wife to golf all 18 holes
Great value for the course
The course was in decent shape, except for the putting greens which could be worked on. The one thing I have to complement is the pace of play. I played years ago and it was always congested. It seems like they have improved greatly on this. Maybe it was a Monday and later in the afternoon, but we never had to really wait on any holes to hit our shots.
The greens and tee boxes were in terrible condition! This course was definitely not worth the cost of almost $100, so many more better golf courses in the west valley for much cheaper. Also it took us almost 5 hours, and we were waiting on every hole. The par 5 holes had at least 4 groups in various stages of play.
This course is over priced
The greens are crappy. The tea boxes are crappy. They don’t tell you about the key to the washroom when you go I would not recommend this course did not enjoy.
Fairways were ok, but tees and greens in rough shape. Some tee boxes closed. Played this course many times in the past and this was the worst shape its been in.as far as we saw in a long time.
Slow
We left after 14 holes. If we would've stayed it would've been over a 5 hour round.
RandyRk
Pace was crazy slow, mostly the foursome in front of us. Marshall tried numerous times to hurry them up but they wouldn't listen.
Greens were colored mud, stupid fast.
Greens and Tee boxes are horrible
Haven't played here in a couple of years. The course layout is awesome. The tee boxes, many of which were closed, and the greens were horrible. Pace of play was not good either. Had to wait on every hole. We were so late getting in that the entire clubhouse was locked up, no access to a restroom or the restaurant. We won't be back.
Greens
The greens are in rough shape. Something happened in the fall seeding of them
Course Conditiona
Course was in poor condition. No sand in the bunkers, tee boxes are chewed up, greens are in poor shape and the fairways were mediocre at best. I’ve played it in the past when the course conditions have been way better. Won’t play it again until the conditions improve.
Player friendly course
The good news price was great , fun layout staff was outstanding, things they need to work on are tee boxes are in horrible shape, greens are very crusty and bumpy fairways are actually outstanding , pace of play this day was decent typical round though is 4 1/2-5 hrs they really need to have a Marshall on this course , food was great afterwards but took forever to get one gal working taking orders and cooking at the same time we tipped her well she really worked her tail off
worst greens I've ever played
The greens were in absolute terrible shape and seemed to be painted to try to cover-up. The round took 5 hours, with no course marshal. There was a marshal playing in the group in front of us who made comments about the slow pace but obviously did nothing about it.
Overpriced for the condition
We paid $90 on the Sunday of the WM Open so I can assume I paid the premium price of the year. The greens have little to no grass, although they run true. Fairways in good condition but it was a bit of a muddy mess elsewhere on the course. The non fairway areas needs a huge investment in upkeep. If this was $30 I would have been very content but the price was jarring for what we got.
Pretty Beat Up
Our tee time in Casa Grande got rained out so we rebooked at Coldwater. Nice people but the course looks like a construction site with dirt piles scattered about. No trees but not really a links style course either. It’s incredible how much it costs to golf around Phoenix even at a basic course like this.
